”In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order.” Carl Jung
“In the beginning, there was only endless Khaos. It was complete discord. The earth was not solid, the sea was not liquid, and the sky was not gas. Khaos created the Island of Creation where he gave birth the Protogenoi. Khaos put an end to the discord by creating Ouranos (Upper-sky) and Gaia (Earth). Then out of Khaos, Ouranos and Gaia came. They gave birth to the Ourea (Mountains) and the Nesoi (Islands). After them was the dark Tartaros (Hell). Eros (Desire) was born and was the most handsome of the gods. From Khaos, Erebos (Shadow) and Nyx (Night) were born. Aether (Sky) and Hemera (Day) came after them. Then Pontos (Sea), Thalassa (Sea), Phanes (Light), Physis (Nature), Chronos and Anankewer (Destiny) born.”
Greek Mythology
The formation of the world is not a war between chaos and order, it is a continuous change of chaos and order. Order from chaos, chaos from order; war from peace, peace from war; night from morning, morning from night; action from inaction, inaction from action… Everything in life is in a process of change,
“The only thing that is constant is change.” Heraclitus
Is this continuous change of the chaos and order regular or irregular? Is this circle also creates a chaos?
Changes that returned to first states, become circle. As cycles can go on in a regular way, it can come back again the same point by following the complicated path and may continue to cycle in a different way. In other words, these cycles between chaos and order can also be chaotic or ordered separately. Actually, if we think that these two concepts also mean a cycle, then these cycles from other cycles, and those cycles form another cycle, and an infinite cycle occurs again. Whether the process is chaotic or ordered is depends on variables. If a process is bound to many variables, it named as a chaotic process. The more variables that influence it, the more complex the situation becomes. If there is a return, the same outcome occurs in every favor, no improvement is a matter of progress. But if the process changes, it reach with more experience, knowledge and power, even if turn the same context. For example, when we think about morning and evening concepts, we cannot talk about an infinite morning or an endless evening, these concepts which are in cycles do not always turn into the same evening and morning. There is an infinite change. The endlessness of these concepts and the endless repetition of cycles between these concepts can come to the conclusion that the two opposing concepts are at the same time. The existence of chaos and order is a condition that life requires. Not only for chaos and order, but for all opposite situations fit this case.
When we talk about the infinite transformation of opposite poles, the Yin Yang philosophy also supports this situation. In Yin Yang theory there are two opposite concepts; and there is action, if there is opposition. The circulation stars from action. These circulation can be occur either in harmony or incompatible as we explained earlier. The conditions such as sudden breaks in storms, and earthquakes are examples of incompatible transitions, while the day and night changes, season changes are examples of harmonic changes. There is always a quest for stability and motion is continuous. Balance never happens. While the circulation between yin and yang. “Sub-yin”s and “sun-yang”s inside the in both yin and yang, also cycle through themselves. Life consists of infinite cycle
Is it possible to terminate the chaos?
¬For the termination of the chaos, the two opposing views need to be reconciled, but there is no way to reconcile the two opposing concepts to the conditions of existence. Because there are many factors that affect cycles, and because the change of these factors affects the course, all cycles are chaotic. Chaos is endless and there is no chance of ending.
Assuming the chaos as a problem, when we solve the problem we encounter a new problem. And we are faced with an infinite circle.
“Every solution breeds new problems.” Murphy’s law
Life is transformed, there are transformations and circles everywhere in life, there is no fixed situation, everything that exists have an antagonist and there is certainly a transformation between these antagonists. Every turn has a chaos situation. If we are talking about a cycle in every place where we live, we also talk about the chaos.
